GP500 & GP600: SMALL 4-STROKE RACING ENGINES
Maxsym is currently developing ultra-compact 4-stroke 500cc & 600cc racing engines (project codename MC4). These engines are aimed at the 250cc 2-stroke Grand Prix motorcycle classes, Supermoto racers, Superkarts, ATVs, racing snowmobiles and small single seaters etc.

Weighing between 30kg to 35kg dependent on specification, they will be available with or without a 6-speed sequential cassette transmission and a dry clutch.

The engines will be launched at the Intermot 2004 show in Munich (15th - 19th September) with production engines available in March 2005 to race in the 2005 season.

The two engine capacities, to be known as the GP500 and GP600 respectively, will have power outputs of between 75bhp and 110bhp at rated speeds between 11,500 & 14,000 rpm to suit the various target applications.
